Kindred Squared wants to make the case that the early years leading to the start of school education are critical to the life chances of every child. We’d like to showcase the experience of primary school leaders and reception teachers through a series of case studies which will contribute to a major national survey being conducted by YouGov in November. Find the survey here.

We are also seeking teachers and school leaders willing to talk about their experiences of the Reception classes in their school and the difference that a quality pre-school experience can make to children’s ability to access opportunities at ‘Big School’.

We’re asking for 20-30mins for an initial phone call with Will Staynes who has helped charities like Teach First and Age UK gather their own powerful stories. From these calls, five case study subjects will be interviewed by Will who will create a written story pack that we can share with journalists and policy makers. We expect the total time commitment to be no more than two hours.

We recognise how busy teachers are and to say thank you for giving up the time to participate, we’ll give each subject of a case study £500 to spend in their school.
